Description

Here it is all about relaxation; in summer you can enjoy a refreshing drink or a light lunch alongside the swimming pool and during winter cuddle up under a blanket in front of the fireplace in the lounge, reading a book and enjoying a glass of sherry.

Soft candle light dinners are served in our stylishly decorated antique dining room, with its high beamed ceiling and terracotta floor. This cozy facility was created for you to enjoy a superb home-cooked country dinner - on request.

A hearty farm breakfast is served either on the patio overlooking the picturesque mountain scenes or in the dining room.

Nature is displayed here in all its glory. Beautiful nature scenes, spectacular mountain views, indigenous bird species and the sweet fragrance of delicate roses blooming in abundance around you.

The farm dam is surrounded by willows and hanging bird nests.

Children can enjoy the foefieslide (zip line) crossing the dam. The raft - taking them accross the water and back.

Marius and Annelie invite you to spend some quality time at their owner-managed guesthouse. Enjoy one of our eight (8) luxury double or twin bedded rooms, furnished with antiques - some rooms still with original reed ceilings. All rooms have private entrances and are set apart from the main house.

We offer 8 stylishly decorated ensuite double/twin rooms. Each unit has its own private entrance, making sure that you receive your well deserved privacy.

Double room with private entrance, patio overlooking the Swartberg Mountains, air conditioning, coffee & tea facilities, TV with Mnet, easy access to the garden.

Room 3

En suite double room used for honeymoon couples as well. Beautifuly decorated and has its own private entrance. Coffee & tea facilities, TV with Mnet, ceiling fan and DVD player. Bathroom with shower and bath.

Room 4

Family room - sleep 3 Private entrance, tea & coffee facilities, Tv with Mnet, ceiling fan, own lounge with an old Queen Ann Stove. View the farm dam and mountains.

Room 5

Ecquiped with a double/twin bed - sleep 2 . Private entrance from the garden. Coffee & tea facilities, TV with Mnet and air conditioning. View over the farm dam and the tree house with the foefie slide.

Room 6

Enjoy the peace and quite of an en suite unit with its own private entrance from the garden. View the shade of the willows on the dam and the rich bird life. The unit has coffee & tea facilities, TV with Mnet and a ceiling fan.

Directions

Arriving from R62 in Oudtshoorn: Follow the main road that you enter Town with. At the third traffic light, turn left into Baron van Reede Street. Follow this road out of town. From the Cango Wildlife Ranch it is about 15km to Oue Werf Country House (Schoemanshoek). You have to turn left at the Cango Ostrich Show Farm. You will be driving towards the Schoemanshoek church. On the right hand side - before the church you will see the Oue Werf sign. Arriving from the N2 via Mossel Bay: The two roads connect to one another just before you enter Oudtshoorn. Follow the above directions. Arriving from the Garden Route via George: Stay on the main road that you enter the Town with, and follow this road straight through the town. You will pass 3 traffic lights. Follow this road out of town. From the Cango Wildlife Ranch it is about 15km to Oue Werf Country House (Schoemanshoek). You have to turn left at the Cango Ostrich Show Farm. You will be driving towards the Schoemanshoek church. On the right hand side - before the church you will see the Oue Werf sign.
