Choose between self-catering or let us pamper you with our breakfast service. Each of the cottages is fully equipped and have a braai area´s (barbecue). A children friendly atmosphere will make every family feel at home. To help you cool off, located in the middle of the park is our saltwater swimming pool. It is a true paradise for nature lovers and birdwatching enthusiasts. Karoo is a word originating from the language of the “Khoi Khoi” and roughly translated means “Dry” The “Karoo Main Basin” is a vast sediment basin, with an area of over 400,000 square kilometers. It includes Impressive mountain ranges, fertile valleys, beautiful plateaus and semi-deserts. In over 100 million years many wonders of nature have been created in the Karoo such as the “Cango Caves” with over 500,000 year old dripstone caverns or close by the 2512m high Swartberg Mountain. The Karoo covers the whole of the southern third of the South African Republic and is divided into “Great Karoo”, “Little Karoo” and “High Karoo”. The Kranskloof Country Lodge is located the province “Western Cape” in the “Little Karoo” on its own plateau in the green valley of the Cango Cave Mountains. The landscape is blessed with gentle rolling hills rising up to a height of 800m before joining the Swartberg Mountains. The region is water rich and has on average 320 days of sun per year, which combined with the comfortable dry air creates a perfect habitat for a multitude of animals and plants. In the Valley with its many trees, you can enjoy wonderful walks, mountain bike rides or rock-climbing. Discover and appreciate a fascinating landscape. Accommodation Cottages In our extensive and well kept gardens you will find our tastefully decorated and functionally well equipped cottages. The location of the cottages has been chosen to allow you to feel at home, relax and enjoy your privacy.The cottages are fitted with a fully equipped kitchen, including a fridge, a cooker with oven and a small dinning area. We will be more than happy to help you with any questions concerning the local shopping facilities and their specialities. Outside the Cottage you will also find a braai area (barbecue and grill), which you can use to enjoy a lovely evening grill with your family and friends. We are also pleased to offer you our breakfast, which we will of course tailor to your personal wishes. Your breakfast can be served in your own cottage or alternatively on the spacious terrace of the main house. Communication with the modern world is of course still possible through the use of our free WLAN Internet access.
